About gpweb.ca

A local studio with a premium standard.

gpweb.ca helps businesses look more established online with better design, clearer messaging and websites built around real customer decisions.

Our standard

Every site should feel intentional.

No clutter. No generic look. No copy that talks to the owner instead of the customer. The website should immediately show why the business is worth trusting.

1

Customer-first

We write and design for the person who is deciding whether to call, book or buy.

2

Premium visuals

We use polished imagery, spacing and art direction to make the business feel stronger.

3

Managed support

We can host, update and support the site after launch so it stays current.

Who we are

A studio that builds, hosts and runs the sites it designs.

gpweb.ca is a web design and development studio based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. We work with businesses across the Peace Region — Grande Prairie, Clairmont, Sexsmith, Beaverlodge, Wembley, Peace River, Fairview, Grimshaw, Manning, High Prairie, Valleyview, Hythe, Spirit River and Grande Cache — as well as across the BC Peace in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John. We also build for clients well outside the region.

The thing that shapes how we work is simple: we do not hand a site off and disappear. Design, development, copy, hosting, security, updates and SEO all happen in-house. That means there is one place to go when something needs changing, and nobody to point at when something breaks.

We also run our own web properties — not client work, but sites we own, operate and pay for. Everything we recommend to a client is something we already run ourselves, which is a very different position from recommending it from a brochure.

What we do in-house

Every part of the job, under one roof.

No subcontracting the parts that matter, and no waiting on a third party to fix your website.

Design

Custom layouts built around your customers and your industry — never a stock template with the colours swapped.

Development

Hand-built, standards-based front ends plus the back-end work: booking systems, portals, directories, dashboards, APIs and integrations.

Copywriting

Words written for the person deciding whether to call, book or buy — not for the business owner reading their own site.

Local SEO

Technical SEO, Google Business Profile, location pages, schema and the reporting that tells you whether any of it is working.

Hosting

Fast managed hosting with SSL, daily backups, uptime monitoring and security patching, so the site stays up and stays current.

Ongoing management

Content changes, new pages, seasonal updates and fixes handled by the people who built the site in the first place.

How a project runs

Three stages, no drawn-out mystery.

Most projects follow the same shape, and you always know which stage you are in.

1 · Position

We work out who the site is talking to, what it has to prove, and what a visitor should do next. Everything after this depends on getting it right.

2 · Design & build

Layout, copy, imagery and development. You see real pages on a real URL rather than a flat mock-up, so what you approve is what you get.

3 · Launch & manage

We handle DNS, SSL, redirects, search-engine setup and the post-launch checks — then keep the site maintained rather than leaving it to age.

Who we build for

Industries we know well.

The Peace Region economy is specific, and a site that works for a clinic will not work for a service rig company.

Oilfield & energy

Safety records, certifications, equipment lists and the credibility signals that matter when a procurement officer is shortlisting vendors.

Trades & home services

Service areas, quote requests and the fast mobile experience most of these customers arrive on.

Clinics & wellness

Booking, practitioner profiles, service explanations and the quiet trust signals patients look for.

Real estate

Listing presentation, area pages and lead capture that does not feel like a trap.

Retail & e-commerce

Product content, secure checkout, inventory and shipping that works on a phone.

Professional services

Clear positioning for accountants, lawyers, consultants and agencies where the website is often the first impression.

Common questions

Questions we get asked.

Straight answers, no sales pitch.

Are you actually based in Grande Prairie?

Yes. The studio is in Grande Prairie and we work throughout the Peace Region, though a good share of our work is for clients elsewhere.

Do I own my website?

Yes. The site, the domain and the content are yours. If you ever want to move it somewhere else, we hand it over rather than holding it hostage.

Do I have to use your hosting?

No. Managed hosting is offered because it is how we keep sites fast and patched, but the site is yours and it can live wherever you want.

Can you work on a site you didn't build?

Often, yes — for redesigns, SEO work or takeover of an existing site. Whether it is worth repairing or rebuilding depends on what is under the hood, and we will tell you honestly which one you are looking at.

What does a website cost?

It depends on scope, and anyone quoting a number before hearing what you need is guessing. Our pricing page sets out the ranges and what sits inside each one.

How do we start?

Send the project form on the contact page with a little about your business and what the site needs to do. We will come back with a recommended direction and next steps.
